Spiritual Growth Using Sacred Plant Medicines

Ever thought about escaping the hustle and bustle of every day life and getting away from it all?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live with an indigenous tribe, experiencing a different culture and living totally in harmony with nature?

Well this is what I experienced in September 2013 and it changed my life.  Living with the Shipibo tribe in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest was an experience that surpassed my wildest expectations. I’d gone there on a spiritual retreat with 16 other people who became like my soul family. We went on jungle walks, collected medicinal plants and prepared them under the guidance of the Plant Maestro.

Over the 15 days in the Amazon, I participated in 5 sacred Ayahuasca ceremonies which allowed my consciousness to pass beyond the veil and experience significant realisations for my own growth. Working with Mother Ayahuasca isn’t for the feint-hearted. It is a sacred experience to be undertaken with respect. Every ceremony is different and you will receive what is right for you in your personal journey right now. So no-one can predict your personal outcome.  Sometimes you experience purging, through vomiting or loose bowel movements, and rather than this being unpleasant, I personally found it cleansing and liberating, feeling so much lighter afterwards. You purge not just physically but also from your etheric body and energy field, letting go of that which doesn’t serve you.  Like peeling back the layers of an onion, each ceremony takes you deeper.

I estimate that working with Mother Ayahuasca saved my 10 years work on myself. One of my experiences was having a life review, normally reserved for you after you die. I could see what I was here to learn in this lifetime and look at what I still needed to master.  Very useful knowledge indeed and one that has led to changes in my life.
